Millions of square meters of Tecno Imac sheeting have been installed throughout the world over the past two decades: ranging from the roofing for major residential, agricultural and industrial buildings on one hand and to gazebos and sheds for the garden on the other.
Please find hereinafter some examples of the versatility of the Tecno Imac covering solutions:
The roofing of a hotel infrastructure in Central America with terracotta effect imacoppo® roofing sheets and fixing elements, laid out in various lengths
The roofing of agricultural livestock shelters in Germany with terracotta effect greca 143® roofing sheets and fixing elements
The roofing of a wooden garden cabin Italy with standard grey ecolina® roofing sheets and ecolfix fixing elements
The production technology that makes our sheeting solutions unique
Co-extrusion is a manufacturing process based on the transformation of a plastic substrate layer, involving the simultaneous processing of different components so that they emerge from the production machine in the form of layered bonded sheets that combine the best features of the constituent composing materials.
The Tecno Imac production stations are organised in units of three extrusion machines. In each extrusion machine, the composing mixture components (resins, plasticisers, stabilisers, pigments etc.) are fed through hoppers into a cylindrical chamber. Here the mixture is heated and compressed with worm screws s until it reaches the co-extrusion flat head where the layers, created by the individual extruders, converge to form a coarse sheet. This is then laminated in a calendering press and it is shaped into the final profile.
Since the creation of Polimglass®, patented in 1992, the technological evolution and the availability of new engineering plastics have driven towards further development and the origin of a new materials, still based on the co-extrusion production process composed by three layers. One of these new materials has been named Ecotres®, which is the primary substance for making ECOLINA®, GRECOLINA® and ECOLTHERM™ sheets as well as the complete range of corresponding accessories. Furthermore, it led to the creation of HSP® (High Strength Polymer) out of which the new product IMACROOF® is made
Total quality assurance
Tecno Imac has defined a set of strict technical guidelines ensuring ultimate quality throughout the entire production process
Internal production checks
The Production Staff continuously monitors the correctness of the extrusion parameters, and carries out visual inspections on the surfaces of the sheets
Tecno Imac has been certified with ISO 9001:2008 quality standards by the RINA body, the Standard for Auditing and Certification.
Daily, routine material sample tests are carried out daily, including microscopic investigations and mechanical check-ups to verify resistance to the impact of hail as well as meteorological tests.
Final inspection stages are implemented during packaging as when the products are prepared for shipment to the our distribution network and key customers.
“The achievement of consistently high production quality is enshrined included in the Tecno Imac corporate philosophy and represents the goal of our Quality Laboratory, which is equipped with state of the art equipment. The lab supervises the entire production process to ensure the highest quality of production – free from shortcoming.”
